It didn't. The upper left corner of the aluminum tread plate was seriously bent. I straightened it with a 3 pound deadblow hammer, only to then realize the entire plate had taken a set inward on the left side (as viewed on the bike, opposite here). Used the same deadblow and a wooden block to reset the angle to match the right side. To me, packaging reflects the pride a business has in its products. This example suggests the company takes no pride in what it builds. But I know this is not true. The kit cost $775 and shipping was over $55 so it's obvious to me that they are very proud of their products!!
